Q: How Often Should Brake Hoses and line Be Inspected on Honda Fit?
A: Every six months, inspect brake hoses for cracks, chafing, leaks, etc. Loosen wheel lug nuts, raise vehicle and remove wheel. Disconnect brake line from brake hose, remove bolts and banjo fitting. Disconnect hose from frame bracket and remove retaining clip. Use new sealing washers and retaining clips. Bleed brakes, install wheel and lug nuts, lower vehicle and check brake system. Use correct parts for brake lines, support securely and check master cylinder fluid level. Bleed brake system and test brakes before driving.
