Q: How do you remove and install the brake booster on Honda Prelude?
A: To remove and install the brake booster, first disconnect the negative battery cable. Detach all electrical connectors from the master cylinder and remove the brake fluid, then use a flare nut wrench to disconnect the metal fluid lines. Next, remove the master cylinder from the brake booster and disconnect the vacuum hoses from the brake booster. From inside the passenger compartment, under the dash, remove the clevis and its pin from the brake pedal, followed by the removal of the booster mounting bolts. Take out the brake booster from the engine compartment. For installation, place the power brake booster back in the reverse order of removal, fill the master cylinder with Honda approved or equivalent DOT 3 or DOT 4 brake fluid, and properly bleed the master cylinder.
