Q: How to remove and install the CMP sensor in the Honda Pilot?
A: Disconnect the CMP sensor connector by pressing the release button and pulling the connector halves apart. Remove the timing belt cover, belt, and camshaft sprocket from the front cylinder head. Take off the rear timing belt cover and the CMP sensor. To install, reverse the process. For 2003+ Acura and 2005+ Honda models, disconnect the CMP sensor connector, and remove the timing belt cover, belt, and camshaft sprocket. Remove the rear cover and the CMP sensor from the timing belt cover. Installation is the reverse of removal.
