Align the cutouts on the hub of the switch with those on the switch body, using a 0.08 inch (2.0 mm) feeler gauge blade or equivalent to hold the switch in the neutral position. Install the TR switch on the selector control shaft while keeping the feeler gauge blade or drill bit in place, then tighten the TR switch bolts to the specified torque. Finally, verify that the engine starts only in Park or Neutral and that the back-up lights activate only in Reverse, making any necessary adjustments to the range switch, and secure the switch cover by tightening the bolts.
