How to remove and install an alternator on Honda Fit?

Disconnect the cable from the negative terminal of the battery. Remove the drivebelt. Remove the intake manifold. Disconnect the electrical connector and battery cable from the alternator. Remove the alternator mounting bolts and take the alternator out of the engine. Installation is the reverse of removal, ensuring to tighten the alternator mounting bolts. For 2008 and earlier models, adjust the drivebelt tension. Finally, reconnect the battery.
