Honda Fit Coolant Reservoir

The Coolant Reservoir in Honda Fit refers to an element of the engine coolant system which plays a key function of avoiding free spilt coolants and the absence of air inside it. It is protective to the system to prevent contact of the air and resulting rust and corrosion, as well as leakage of the dangerous antifreeze fluid. There are two main types of Coolant Reservoirs used in Honda Fit vehicles: The two types of tanks are; overflow tank systems and expansion tank systems. The former is to the radiator and has a medium pressure cap while the latter is to the overflow tank and has a simple and thin black plastic cap. It is advised to have periodic examination in order to identify the cracking, leakage, and other indications of the aged tanks and thermal cycling.
