  • Q: How do you remove and install the receiver/drier in an air conditioning system on Honda CRX?
    A: To remove and install the A/C accumulator, first, turn off the negative battery terminal and properly evacuate the air conditioning system. Then, remove the pressure switch wire connector and plug the refrigerant line in the vehicle. Here, one has to undo the bracket attaching bolts and withdraw the A/C accumulator assembly. The new A/C accumulator comes with all installations in position and when tightening the mounting bolts, they should be tightened to 12 ft. lbs. (17 Nm). Socket the electrical leads back in place and secure the refrigerant pipes to the A/C accumulator likewise tightening them to 12 ft. lbs. (17 Nm). Last but not the least, fully recharge the refrigerant system and reconnect the negative terminal of the battery and test the functionality of the system.
