Q: How to replace the CKP sensor and perform the CKP sensor relearn procedure for the Honda CR-V?
A: The relearn procedure for CKP sensor is done by the technician after installing a new CKP. In the case of Civic 1.8 L engines, this is found on the engine block close to the transaxle. Disconnect the sensor, remove heat shield and replace it. The sensor is near the oil filter in Civic 2.4L engines and CR-V models of 2014 and prior years. Disconnect and replace. In later versions of CR-V models in 2015, it is near to exhaust pipe. Remove heat shield, disconnect sensor and replace it with a new one. Ensure that you tighten the bolt after installation using a new O-ring.
