- Q: How do you remove and install the front sway bar on Honda Prelude?A: To remove and install the sway bar, first raise and safely support the vehicle, then match mark the sway bar for proper reinstallation. Disconnect the sway bar links from the end of the sway bar and remove the sway bar bushing brackets from the vehicle's underbody before taking out the sway bar. If needed, disassemble the sway bar end link and bushings. For installation, if necessary, assemble the sway bar end link and bushings, then follow the reverse order of removal while applying silicone grease between the sway bar bracket bushing and sway bar. Finally, tighten the sway bar retainers to the specified torque: 16 ft. lbs. (22 Nm) for the sway bar bracket-to-body bolts, 13 ft. lbs. (18 Nm) for the Prelude's sway bar end link nut and bolt, and 14 ft. lbs. (19 Nm) for the Accord's sway bar end link nut and bolt.
