Honda Passport Intake Manifold Temperature Sensor Parts Questions & Experts Answers
Q: Where is the Intake Air Temperature (IAT) Sensor Located on Honda Passport?
A: The Intake Manifold Temperature Sensor is on the air intake duct. It is a thermistor that changes its resistance in proportion to engine temperature. The PCM supplies a 5-volt reference voltage to the Intake Manifold Temperature Sensor and uses the signal to adjust spark timing. A failure of the Intake Manifold Temperature Sensor will cause the PCM to set diagnostic trouble code P0112 or P01To check it, disconnect the two-prong electrical connector and measure the reference voltage. To replace it, disconnect the cable from the negative battery terminal and unplug the electrical connector. Pull on the sensor while rocking it from side to side to disengage it from the grommet. Installation is the reverse of removal.
