Q: How do you remove the air filter housing on Honda Fit?
A: To begin with, locate the electrical connector of the Intake Air Temperature (IAT) sensor and unplug it, and next, loosen the clamp at the Throttle Body in cars that are of 2007 and 2008 models. After that, unbolt the PCV fresh air hose at the air Filter Box and pull out the fresh air duct out of it. Following that, remove the two air Filter Box mounting bolts and pull the air Filter Box out from the car and disconnect the fresh air intake duct from the left side. To start, on 2009 and later models, remove the electrical connection to the MAF/IAT sensor and remove the wiring harness retainer at the mount near the filter box. Erase the air Filter Box cover and the air filter element then, take off the PCV fresh air hose from the box. Following that, you need to take out the two bolts and the upper filter box chamber in addition to the loosening of the hose clamp over the throttle body as well as the removal of the battery hold-down to have a better view of this battery. Lastly, turn the rear of the air Filter Box anti-clockwise and upwards to pull out together with the upper hose of the radiator and breather hose if necessary. For both models, installation is the reverse of removal.
