Start by removing the negative terminal of the battery, and after, position a suitable drain pan where the car will be positioned to catch the fluid that will drain from the cooling system and proper disposal of the coolant used. Then, the accessory drive belts should be disconnected and finally the timing belt cover and timing belt also. Subsequently, undo the water pump mounting bolts and the water pump. During the installation, use another new O-ring seal in order to fix the water pump on the block tightening the mounting bolts to 9 ft. lbs. (12 Nm). Last but not the least replace the timing belt and the timing belt cover, replace the accessory drive belts, connect the negative terminal of the battery, refill the cooling system and bleed.
