How to remove the Shift Knob from a Honda Civic?

Pull downward on the lower half of the shift knob to release the clips, and expose the retaining screws. Use a small, flat-tipped screwdriver and remove the bezel from around the shift knob itself. Remove the two screws and remove the shift knob from the shift lever. Installation is reverse of removal. Remove the access panel from the left side of the shifter base. Remove the shift knob harness straps and disconnect the shift knob (O/D switch)harness connector (Identifying the 0/0 switch shift knob harness on CR-V). Remove the two screws and remove the shift knob from the shift lever. Installation is reverse of removal!
