Loosen the rear wheel lug nuts, raise the rear of the vehicle, place it securely on jackstands and remove the rear wheels. Remove the sway bar kit-to-link nuts. Use an Allen wrench to prevent the ballstud from turning when removing the attaching link nut. Unbolt the bushing bracket from each side of the sway bar and then remove the bar. Pull the retainers off the bar and inspect the bushings for cracks, breaks and other signs of deterioration. If the bushings are damaged, replace them. Also check the sway bar links for loose balljoints and other damage, replacing them if necessary. Installation is the reverse of removal. Use new self-locking nuts to attach the sway bar links.

When removing the stabilizer bar, it is important to inspect for cracked, torn, or distorted stabilizer bar bushings, bushing brackets, and worn or damaged stabilizer bar links.
