Q: How do you remove and install the heater/air conditioning control assembly in Honda Ridgeline?
A: Disconnect the cable from the negative battery terminal. For the front A/C switch in Pilot and MDX models, remove the instrument panel center bezel. On 2006 and earlier Acura MDX models, remove the four A/C switch mounting screws, then remove it from the center bezel. On all other models, remove the mounting screws for the center components in the instrument panel, disconnect all electrical connectors in the rear and then remove the components. Note: On most models, the A/C switch is mounted with other components in the instrument panel. Remove these components as an assembly and then separate the A/C switch from them. Remove the mounting brackets for the center components and then separate the A/C switch. Installation is the reverse of removal. For Ridgeline models, remove the instrument trim panel. Remove the A/C switch mounting screws and separate the A/C switch from the trim panel. Installation is the reverse of removal. For the rear A/C switch, remove the rear trim panel from the center console. Remove the electrical connectors from the A/C switch. Separate the A/C switch from the panel. Installation is the reverse of the removal.
