Q: How do you open and reinstall a sunroof on Honda Prelude?
A: To open the Half-Sunroof, make it half open and then pull the liner to the front bottom and then unsnap it. Subsequently, slide the liner to the back to yield the pins from the holder and pull it out. Finally, remove the mounting bolts of the panel from the panel bracket and with due caution you remove the sunroof from the car. It is recommended to check the sunroof liner clips before reinstalling duration of the liner and to replace where necessary. Lower the sunroof panel to where it is just adjacent to the sunroof seal and not more than 3/32 inches above the roof then install the sunroof on the reverse of the procedures stated above. There Power Sunroof has a motor to close it and if this fails it can be closed by disconnecting the slotted plug between the two sun visors and use the tool from the kit to manually wind it closed. One has to unscrew the headliner and then pry this off, disconnect the motor's electrical connection, and take out the screws that hold the motor to the bracket assembly and then pop it out. Installation is as follows in the reverse of the removal process.
