How to remove and install the console on Honda Prelude?

Remove the black negative battery cable, pull the armrest and take off the inner panel cover. Subsequently, the access lid and screws must be removed; and then, the assembly will have to give up the cup holder. Release the parking brake and to do that pull the front part of the console and push it towards the rear to remove it from the hooks below. Swing the rear console over the parking brake, and open it and take off the ashtray. Pull up the console and remove any electrical connections if there is any with a lot of care to the automatic transaxle shift lever. In the case of vehicles with manual transaxles, the shill knob has to be removed. Go ahead and take out the radio, the dashboard lower cover, as well as the glove box next to it and the front console. As a measure to avoid damage to the gear selector in the course of pulling out the console and fixing it, place a clean shop towel over the gear selector. Last of all, installation is the process that is the reverse of the removal process All the bolts are tightened and the front support is reattached.
