Q: How to remove and install the shift lever on Honda Pilot?
A: For honda models, Remove the steering column covers. Set the parking brake, then place the Automatic Transmission Shift Levers in the Neutral position. Detach the Shift Cable from the Automatic Transmission Shift Levers and bracket. Disconnect the anti-theft system connector, if equipped. Disconnect the shift lock solenoid and the park pin switch connector. Disconnect the shift lock solenoid connector and park pin switch connectors from the steering column assembly. Remove the Automatic Transmission Shift Levers mounting bolts, then remove the Automatic Transmission Shift Levers. Installation is the reverse of the removal. Be sure to adjust the shift cable. For acura models, Remove the center console. Set the parking brake, then place the Automatic Transmission Shift Levers in the Reverse position. Disconnect the shift cable from the Automatic Transmission Shift Levers assembly. Disconnect the shift interlock solenoid connector and the park pin switch connector. Remove the four mounting bolts from the Automatic Transmission Shift Levers bracket base. Installation is the reverse of removal. Be sure to adjust the shift cable.
