The Throttle Body is an important part of Honda Passport car type since it controls the amount of air supply ordered by the engine for perfect fuel spray. Located between the air cleaner and intake manifold it comes equipped with a butterfly valve that opens and closes in accordance with acceleration pedal command. Most current generation Passports use Electronic Throttle Control (ETC) to control it with electronic signals instead of linkages, improve responsiveness and compatibility with safety features. In the previous models of Hondas Passport car, they used something called Throttle Body Injection or TBI which was more basic than PGM-FI and consisted of fueling and the throttle body. However, current models integrate extra gadgets such as the Throttle Position Sensor (TPS) as well as an Idle Air Control (IAC) valve, and the system is disassociated from the fuel delivery system.
