  Q: How to remove and install a door latch,Door Handle and Lock Cylinder on Honda Fit?

  A: In case of working near or near the doors, one has to put on gloves to shield himself from sharp metallic edges. Well, to get to the door latch go up on the window, take out the Door Trim Panel and the water-shield at that. If so needed, the glass run channel may need to be repositioned and the fastener that holds the center lower glass run channel must first be unscrewed before the channel is withdrawn. Pull it down and valve the cylinder to the door, disengage the lock cylinder lever rod is then reached. If that is not possible, unscrew the operating rod from the handle, then prop up the handle by fixing it to the door with tape; unscrew the interior metal plate of the handle; undo the fixture on the inside door plate and the handle can then be removed from outside.
