Q: How do you remove the center console on Honda Fit?
A: For 2008 and earlier models, begin by removing the parking brake cover lid by carefully prying it off. For manual transaxle models, twist the shift knob counterclockwise to remove it. For 2009 and later models, pry up on the rear hook of the console lid (which includes the cup holders) using a plastic tool until it comes free. Next, remove the fasteners securing the center console from both the front and rear. For 2008 and earlier models, lift the rear of the center console and pull it rearward to release the front hook from the heater unit. For 2009 and later models, lift the rear of the console to detach the clip and pull the front pin from the heater unit. Disconnect the accessory socket connector and, if equipped, the auxiliary jack connector. Installation is the reverse of removal.
