Q: How to disconnect and remove the multi-function switch and windshield wiper/washer switch on Honda CR-V?
A: Remove the cable from the negative terminal of the battery and wait for not less than three minutes. The dash panel trim assembly and the steering column covers should be eliminated. The electrical connector is a white gangly connector attached to the multi-function switch, unplug it by simply applying pressure on the black tab found at the base of the connector. The multi-function switch is a bit complicated: the upper and lower tabs must be pressed in and then the component can be pulled out. The process of Installation is the other face of removal. Connect the cable again to the negative terminal of the battery. On the windshield wiper/washer switch, do as follows; remove the negative terminal on the battery, and wait for 3 minutes before proceeding. Disconnect the driver's dashboard trim assembly and the steering column covers. Take off the connector of electrical wire that is found in the windshield wiper/washer switch. Pull the wind shiled wiper/washer switch out with your fingers by pressing on the upper and lower tabs of the switch. Its removal is as follows: Installation is the reverse of removal. Plug back the cable into the negative terminal of the battery.
