Special attention should be paid to the correct setting of headlights as a wrong position of beams can blind drivers of oncoming vehicles thus causing extremely fatal accidents or reducing visibility of the roadway. This is recommended to be done at least once a year, and in cases that involve installation of a new headlight, or in acase where the front-end body work has been done. The vertical adjusters that are on respectively, the upper backside of the headlight housing can be twisted using the PHILLIPS screwdriver; such that clockwise movement will lower the headlight, while counter clockwise will raise the light. For adjustment, apply masking tapes on a plain wall and on the floor, which has to be at a level with the vehicle centerline and the centerlines of the two headlights and there should also be a horizontal line of masking tape. The vehicle should be parked 25 feet from the wall, level, 1/2 tank of gasoline, no more than 500 pounds of any load. At low beams on the high intensity zone should be two inches below the horizontal line and at high beams it should be at the horizontal line. If symptoms occur which may hinder adjustment, a dealer service department should be consulted at the earliest opportunity.

Take out the headlight housing by removing the mounting bolts and pulling the housing out.
