Honda Ridgeline Alternator Parts Questions & Experts Answers
Q: How do you remove and replace an alternator in the Honda Ridgeline?
A: First of all, disconnect the battery negative terminal and then take off the engine cover and the drive belt and alternator connections. Also, remove the alternator upper mounting bolt and harness clamp bolt. Raise the vehicle, remove the splash shield, lower the mounting bolt, and take out the alternator. You just have to ensure that if you are replacing it with a new one, it has the same appearance like the old one, terminal arrangement as well as I.D numbers. In case it is necessary, change its pulley accordingly. Lastly, reinstall by reversing removal steps, ensuring secure bolt tightening and correct alternator operation.
