Q: How do you disconnect electrical connections and remove a bumper on Honda Passport?
A: Disconnect any electrical connections that would interfere with bumper removal, then support the bumper with a jack or jackstands, or have an assistant support it while the bolts are removed. From the backside of the bumper, remove the retaining bolts securing the bumper bracket to the outside of each frame rail; for 1997 and earlier models, detach the front bumper by removing the front bumper bracket-to-frame rail bolts and the rear bumper by removing the frame rail-to-bumper bracket bolts, while for 1998 and later models, detach the front bumper by removing the front bumper bracket-to-frame rail bolts and the rear bumper by removing the frame rail-to-bumper bracket bolts. After removing the bumper from the vehicle, if replacing the bumper fascia, take off the nuts or bolts securing it to the bumper. Installation follows the reverse order of removal.
