Q: How are the electrical circuits safeguarded and what should be done when a fuse blows on Honda Odyssey?
A: The electrical circuits of the vehicle are protected by fuses, circuit breakers and Relays; fuse and relay boxes are positioned in the engine compartment and under the dashboard. A set of mini and maxi fuses of blade terminal type safeguard different circuits and are easily readily insertable and replaceable without requiring any tools. Every fuse is used for certain circuits; the name of circuits for each fuse is marked on the fuse panel cover; there is always an additional guide containing all the fuses and relays' information if the writing on the cover is too small or illegible. In the event that an electrical component has fouled out, the first step is to employ the test light to see whether there is current at the exposed terminal ends; if there is current on one end but not on the other, then the fuse is blown and this is also true if there is visual evidence. Blown fuses should be replaced by similar fuses as there are physically interchangeable but their protection level should be suitable for the electrical circuit into which they are going to be used. When a fuse blows, a replacement should not be put back until a short circuit that most times is caused by a broken or deteriorated wire is fixed.
