  Q: How to remove and install the heater/air conditioner control assembly in the Honda Del Sol?

  A: Disconnect the cable from the negative battery terminal. Disable the airbag, if equipped. Caution: if the radio in your vehicle is equipped with an anti-theft system, make sure you have the correct activation code before disconnecting the battery. Remove the center console lower trim. Remove the stereo. Remove the four A/C Switch mounting screws. Pull out the A/C Switch and disconnect the electrical connector. If the A/C Switch uses levers instead of buttons, detach the function control and air mix cables. If the A/C Switch is equipped with levers instead of buttons, remove this screw and detach the cable from the upper (function control) lever arm, flip the A/C Switch upside down and remove this screw to detach the other cable from the lower (air mix) lever arm. Installation is the reverse of removal. Run the engine and check for proper functioning of the heater and air conditioning system.
