Q: How to remove and install the Air Filter Box for the Honda CRX?
A: The air filter box is housed above the carburetor on carbureted models and in a housing at the front of the vehicle on fuel injected vehicles. The recommended change interval for the air filter is 30,000 miles (48,300 km) under normal circumstances, severe service requires more frequent changes. To remove, unscrew the wing nut(s), bolts orspring clips from the air filter box cover; on some models, it may be necessary to also remove a standard nut. Remove the air filter box cover and the air cleaner element. Using a clean rag, clean out the air filter box housing. Using a new air cleaner element, install the new element. Air cleaner elements are not interchangeable, although they may appear to be. Make sure you have the proper element for the year and model. Install the air filter box cover and any retaining bolts.
