Honda CR-V Wheel Cylinder

The Wheel Cylinder is an important part of Honda CR-V vehicles that enables the pressure to be applied directly on the brake shoes to make contact with the brake drum hence enabling deceleration or a complete halt to be made. In realising this objective, this hydraulic system employs pistons, cup seals and an expander spring within the context of a cylinder body. Applying pressure on the brakes builds hydraulic pressure on the pistons thus pushing the brake shoes against the drum. This continues to cause rust and seepage within the wheel cylinder after it has taken in moisture and thus weak braking on the wheels. Checking and servicing the wheel cylinders are a must to keep the brake system in good condition and achieve maximum efficiency when driving the car. In this case, the wheel cylinders should be either rebuilt or replaced so that the efficiency of the braking system can be effectively restored.
