How to replace the in-tank fuel pump and Fuel Level Sensor in the Honda CR-V?

The first step to take when replacing a fuel pump is to relieve fuel system pressure and disconnect the battery. In Civic models, you will have to remove the trunk carpet and rear seats. For CR-Vs, they unfold the rear seats to reveal the fuel pump access cover. The fuel supply and EVAP lines plus the electrical connector of the fuel pump should be disconnected. The module with the locknut is separated from the gas tank, where it was put in by removing it. Check if it is damaged and replace its seal if necessary. The sending unit for fuel gauge is removed from the module housing. A new seal and then module back into tank are installed. Finally, connect your battery, start your engine and then check your car for leaks.
