How to remove and install an alternator in the Honda CR-V?

The negative cable connection must first be disconnected before the drivebelt is removed together with tensioner and idler pulleys and brackets; however, only the tensioner assembly removal is necessary on 2014 and newer models. Start by unfastening the engine bolts which anchor the alternator before disconnecting both electrical connections and the B+ terminal from the device then removing the alternator from the vehicle. During reinstallation users need to follow removal procedures in reverse order by tightening fasteners at their designated torque values.
