Q: How to remove and install the Steering Knuckle and hub for the Honda Accord?
A: To remove the front wheel, the lug nuts should be loosened, raising of the vehicle and supporting it using jack stands. Also, remove the wheel and loosen the axle nut. Take off the brake caliper and disc, loosen drive axle/hub nut, and disconnect the Control Arm and tie-rod end. It is also possible to take off the knuckle and hub assembly or replace wheel bearing if necessary. On installation of drive axle splines it will be necessary to grease them, and reengage Ball Joints, brake disc, and caliper.
Q: How to remove and install the rear Steering Knuckle for the Honda Accord?
A: To remove the rear wheel, loosen the lug nuts, raise the vehicle, and remove the wheel. To remove a disc brake, unbolt the brake hose bracket, caliper and mounting bracket; then take off the brake disk, hub and bearing assembly, and splash guard. For drum, brakes, disconnect the brake line and remove the hub, bearing assembly, and backing plate bolts. Disconnect the stabilizer bar link, Shock Absorber assembly, and suspension arm from the knuckle. If needed replace hub and bearing assembly. For installation, connect suspension arms to knuckle with shock absorber as well as stabilizer bar link. Put back in place hub and bearing assembly along with brake components. Bleed drum brakes for brake system.
