    Q:
How Should an Oxygen Sensor Be Serviced on Honda Crosstour? Posted by Customer
    A:
Special care must be taken to keep contaminants away from the sensor. Do not use cleaning solvents. On four-cylinder models, the upstream sensor is located below the exhaust manifold, and the downstream sensor is on the catalyst. On V6 models, there are two upstream sensors on each cylinder head. To remove the sensor, disconnect the electrical connector and unscrew with an oxygen sensor socket. Apply anti-seize compound to the threads if reinstalling. Installation is the reverse of removal and must be tightened to the torque.

    Q:
How to service oxygen sensors in the Honda Ridgeline? Posted by Customer
    A:
In 2001 and 2002 Acura, and 2003 and 2004 Honda models, when servicing oxygen sensors, exercise caution as they have a permanently attached pigtail and electrical connector that cannot be removed, damaging or removing which renders the sensor useless. Keep contaminants away from the electrical connector and the sensor's louvered end, refrain from using cleaning solvents, and handle them delicately, avoiding rough treatment. Ensure the silicone boot on the sensor is correctly positioned to prevent potential melting issues. For sensor replacement, whether upstream or downstream, which are located beneath the vehicle, raise and secure the vehicle on jackstands. Disconnect the electrical connector, remove the sensor (using a wrench for upstream sensors), and if reinstalling the old sensor, apply anti-seize compound to its threads to facilitate future removal. Installation should be the reverse of the removal process, ensuring proper sensor tightening. In 2003 and later Acura and 2005 and later Honda models, with multiple catalytic converters, including warm-up converters with oxygen sensors, you may need to raise the vehicle to access these sensors. Disconnect the electrical connectors, remove the sensors (using an oxygen sensor socket), apply anti-seize compound to threads if reusing the old sensor, and reinstall them securely. For the front cylinder head's upstream sensor, you may not need to raise the vehicle, but a mirror might be necessary for visibility.
