    Q:
What is the purpose and location of the MAF/IAT sensor in Honda Accord, and how is it disconnected and reinstalled? Posted by Customer
    A:
As a note, 2003 and 2004 SULEV and LX-P 4-cylinder models and all 2005 and later four cylinder models are equipped with an MAF/Intake Manifold Temperature Sensor, which combines the functions of the MAF and Intake Manifold Temperature (IMT) sensors into one unit. The sensor is located on the air filter housing. To disconnect the electrical connector, depress the release tab and disconnect the electrical connector, then remove the retaining screws. Remove the sensor retaining screws and remove the sensor. To reinstall, switch the removal steps going from the last step to the first step.

    Q:
Where is the IAT Sensor Located and how to replace on Honda Accord? Posted by Customer
    A:
Four-cylinder models (except SULEV and LX-P) have Intake Manifold Temperature Sensor on air intake duct near throttle body. Disconnect electrical connector, remove spring-type clamp, pull out sensor. For 2003-2004 SULEV/LX-P and 2005+ models, Intake Manifold Temperature Sensor is part of MAF sensor. For V6 models, Intake Manifold Temperature Sensor is on front side of intake manifold near throttle body. Disconnect electrical connector, unscrew sensor, remove O-ring. Installation is reverse of removal. Use new O-ring, secure sensor.

    Q:
How do you replace the Intake Manifold Temperature Sensor and Mass Air Flow Sensor on Honda Fit? Posted by Customer
    A:
In the models produced in 2007 and 2008 the Intake Manifold Temperature Sensor is fixed on the back of the air filter housing. First, you need to unscrew the electrical connector from the Intake Manifold Temperature Sensor and then take out the sensor from the grommet that is averagely fixed in the air filter housing. Examine the grommet material for signs of cracking or wearing down, and if such is the case replace it, the installation is a process that will just be a reverse of removal. For the vehicles that have been produced after 2009, the MAF/Intake Manifold Temperature Sensor is fitted on the upper part of the air filter housing. The first step is to remove the electrical connector of MAF/Intake Manifold Temperature Sensor with the help of a snap. The second step includes the removal of two screws-the sensor is mounted on the air filter housing. Eliminate any signs of wear on the MAF/Intake Manifold Temperature Sensor gasket, and if so perform replacement and ensure installation is done in a reverse manner and make sure to use new gasket securing the screws tightly.
