Before disassembling the car to get rid of the Rack And Pinion, it is necessary to release the cable of negativity from the battery of the car and remove all the remains of the power steering fluid through the suction pump or through the fluid hose. After removing the steering system gear box, for pulling out the shaft, the cover below the dashboard of the cars, which produced till 2004, has to be unscrewed, and the pinch bolt connecting the intermediary shaft and the Rack And Pinion input shaft has to be unbolted. Take the front wheel bolts, lift the car using jacks to be placed behind the front shock absorber suspension, and take the front wheels. Then, you should turn to the following steps: First, you should take off the engine splash shield. Second, you have to disconnect the tie-rod ends from the steering knuckles. Third, the exhaust pipe-to-manifold and catalytic converter assembly must be slid out. Remove the pressure and return lines with flare-nut wrench, plug the lines and immobilise the engine with an engine support brace or crane. Lose the torque for the rear engine mount and put the subframe on two floor jacks. Loose the subframe to chassis mounting bolts and you can also remove the subframe stiffener bolts. Lower the jacks until the subframe is supported on the loosened bolts, then remove the clamp, bolts and nuts-the Rack And Pinion assembly passes through the left wheel opening. Again for the 2005 build and more onward, proceed in the following way; Before you begin, remove all wires that may cause interference to the process, lift the engine from above and scribe the corners of the subframe. When all the required bolts and brackets have been worked off the subframe, lower the subframe, pull off the power steering line brackets and disconnect the fluid lines from the Rack And Pinion. Last of all, slide the Rack And Pinion to the left of the vehicle and ease it out through the driver's side wheel well aperture. Refiership is the vice versa of removal, with extra care as all the bolts must be tightened to the right torque, power steering pump is refilled with the right fluid, bleeding is done, leakage is checked and the last one is connecting the negative battery cable while the front end alignment is checked and adjusted if necessary.
