When servicing, in order to get the radio out and set it back in or remove and replace any other component, then one has to get the security code for the radio, and the negative cable of the battery has to be removed out. On 2.2L and 2.3L engines turn off the ignition switch, remove the upper battery tray, lower the crankshaft, pull out the oil pan, connect an engine blok to the crank shaft number one and place the number one piston at TDC, and remove the valve cover along with the timing belt covers. Take off all power steering, alternator and air conditioning belts if any and then do away with the crank shaft pulley, balancer belt and the timing belt where applicable; if you intend to reuse the timing belt then mark its direction of rotation. Among other things, you should unbolt the CKP sensor if it is installed, the timing belt drive pulley, and the balancer driven pulley, after which you should make sure that the rear timing balancer pulley is located in the plane of a bolt or rod.-The balancer gear case; dowel pins; and oil pump assembly are then to be reinstated as well as cleaning the mating surfaces. For installation, dowel pins and new O-rings are to be installed and a liquid gasket applied on the oil pump, bolts being tightened to a particular torque. Replace the oil screen and oil pan; align the balancer driven pulley and gear case. Select then install such components as the drive pulley, CKP sensor, timing belt tensioners and belts, and the valve cover. Replace the oil in the engine then reconnect the battery as required. For 2.7L engines, the procedures are almost the same, remember to align the timing marks and always support the car. To disassemble the 3.0L engine: lift the car, remove the oil, install the crankshaft to TDC, remove the timing belt, idler pully, CKP sensor, VTEC solenoid, oil filter, oil pan and oil pump assembly. At the time of getting it installed make sure it is properly aligned as well as fulfilling the torque specifications and fill the crankcase with fresh engine oil.
