Mark the relationship of the linkage arm to the wiper motor shaft and base plate, then separate the linkage from the motor by prying apart the spherical bearing halves and loosening the arm retaining nut. Remove the mounting bolts to detach the motor from its bracket, ensuring to grease the moving parts before installing the linkage. Installation follows the reverse order, aligning the marks made during disassembly, and finally, turn on the windshield wipers to verify correct operation in all modes. For the rear window wiper motor, open the hatch and remove the hatch trim panel, then take off the wiper arm retaining nut cover and nut, marking the wiper arm's position before removal. Disconnect the electrical connector, remove the three mounting bolts, and take out the rear window wiper motor, with installation being the reverse of removal.
