Disconnect the cable from the negative battery terminal. Remove the radio assembly and disconnect the electrical connectors. For 2012 models, take off the dashboard hood and center lower trim panel, then unclip the control panel unit from the instrument panel and disconnect the electrical connector from the back of the unit. For 2013 and later models, disconnect the electrical connector from the A/C Switch, as well as the connectors from the blower motor and mode control switches. Remove the A/C Switch retaining screws and take the module out of the radio assembly. Installation is the reverse of removal. Reconnect the battery. For the CR-V, remove the shift lever top panel and the dashboard center trim panels, then take out the screws and detach the control unit from the instrument panel, disconnecting the electrical connector. Pull the knobs off the control unit, remove the unit mounting screws, and separate the control unit from the trim panel. Installation is the reverse of removal, followed by reconnecting the battery.
