To remove the compressor, follow these steps: 1.Remove the drivebelt. 2.Set the parking brake, block the rear wheels, and raise the front of the vehicle on jackstands. 3.Remove the splash shield from under the engine compartment. 4.Disconnect the wiring harness electrical connector for the compressor clutch. 5.Support the right-side of the subframe with a floor jack, then remove the subframe bracket located below the compressor. 6.Disconnect the refrigerant lines from the compressor and plug the open fittings. 7.Remove the compressor mounting bolts. 8.Remove the compressor. If necessary, the compressor mounting bracket can be removed by first removing the lower alternator mounting bolt.
