    Disconnect the cable from the negative battery terminal and remove the drivebelt and tensioner. Peel back the rubber weather cover, remove the nut and output cable from the alternator, and disconnect the electrical connector. Remove the mounting bolts, take the old alternator with you when purchasing the replacement, and make sure the new/rebuilt unit looks identical. Swap the pulley if necessary. installation is the reverse of removal. Reconnect the cable to the battery and check the charging voltage. Enter the anti-theft codes, enter the radio station presets, reset the clock, and reset the power window control unit.
